Making Your Website User- Friendly and Accessible

Website Design Template

From the previous blogs, we have shown that having a website is very important in the law profession because it can give vital information to a potential customer or reader even before they engage or make contact with the lawyer. The website including the social media sites is one of the few steps that people take in order to get a glimpse of whom the lawyer or the firm is and what services it offers.

Given that the website is beautiful, dynamic, and has great content, user experience is still a top consideration in a website design. If website visitors have a hard time navigating and checking the website, they might leave and not consider the services anymore. Remember, a lost client is a lost in business and with the wide array of options available, visitors will be able to look for a site that is user-friendly and accessible.  To give visitors a good website experience, consider the things that we present below:

  1.  Make the website responsive – People nowadays are using their mobiles to search. A responsive website means that whatever tools are used to view the website, the experience is still the same. Whether it is opened on a desktop, tablet, or mobile, the experience improves or remains the same.
  2.  Choose the right color for the site –  It is important to choose colors that do not strain the eyes so that visitors can stay and engage longer on the site.
  3. Place the logo in the top left part of the website –  Based on research, the top left part is the part where our eyes go first. If the logo is placed there, people will notice it immediately and will be familiar with your logo.
  4. Contact Information – Having immediate access to you can be an advantage since most of the time people don’t have the time to search for ways on how to contact you.  Being accessible in a variety of ways is great. It gives people the option to contact you in a way that is more convenient for them.
  5.  Add search functionality – To easily navigate a site, it is best to include a search functionality so that visitors will be able to find what they are looking for.
  6.  Make content short and concise –  Written content in your site should be short and concise unless it is for a blog. Visitors don’t read f your website’s content is clear and succinct, they’re more likely to read and understand it. Bulleted lists are the easiest way to accomplish this. Your website visitors will be able to quickly scan your site for the information they require.
  7. Include Social Media Icons – Businesses that want to be successful today and in the future must have a strong social media presence. Add your active social media profiles to your website to expand your audience. Your website visitors will appreciate the opportunity to interact with you in a less formal setting, and you can use social media to keep them informed about deals, hot new goods, and more.
  8.  Fast Load Times -A website that loads faster, gains more audience. Make sure to  use pictures that are high resolution but does not require a heavy load.

These are just a few, and there are many more guidelines. You can talk to your developers or web designers on what is the best  way to make your websites user-friendly.
